..... Our Philosophy is... "That there is only one child in our nursery and every mother has it"

Welcome to Briar Cottage Nursery

About Us

We understand that choosing a nursery for your child can be a difficult decision and we recognise the importance of making the right choice, for peace of mind and for the wellbeing and care of your child. We hope that our website will provide you with information about our nursery, helping you to make an informal choice.

We try to offer parents/carers the flexibility that is often required to suit particular needs. Should you wish to visit our nursery and we hope that you do, you are welcome to call at your own convenience for a chat and view what is going on, as it goes on.

We believe that children should be offered high quality childcare and the opportunity to learn through play and experiences. This will ensure confidence and self-esteem as they get older by giving opportunities to explore/enquire and discover new areas of learning. Each child is treated individually and with respect and allowed to develop at their own pace.

Our philosophy is that there is only one child in our nursery and every mother has it. We promote a homely atmosphere where children are allowed to feel secure and loved.

Our team are all safeguarding qualified, and have done online prevent duty training.

History

Briar Cottage Nursery was first established in 1991 at 6 Birley St, in Newton-le-Willows by Mrs Simm, Demand for places lead to the purchase of a secondproperty at 7-9 Rob lane, Newton-le-Willows, which opened in 1994 and run byJanet Clipston. In the autumn of 2000, the property at 31 Park Road North was acquired and renovations were completed in December 2000. Both the other nurseries moved to the new site at Park Road, which increased the capacity particularly in the baby room age range.

The nursery caters for :

Babies (3 months to 18 months)

Toddlers (18 months to 2 years)

Middles (2 years to 3 years)
